In my experience there is little if any difference between even 24/48 and 24/96 let alone 24/192. I know that my hearing is shot above 18 khz for sure but the real key is to not squash the harmonics with the digital filter. For digital audio it seems that signal to noise ratio is much more important than frequency response. I would go with the 24/96 at most and enjoy the convenience of getting 2 plus hours onto one DVD and being able to play it on any dvd player.
