Elliot Scheiner is going to be mixing the new Eagles studio album in 5.1 surround . ....

A brief note on page 12 of the July/August 2007 issue of Sound & Vision magazine says " The day after we spoke to Elliot Scheiner , he flew to L.A. to mix the Eagles studio album in stereo - with a 5.1 mix set for fall " .

There's no mention of label and format , in the Sound & Vision note . However , previous Eagles studio albums have been released by Warner . As well , Warner has released Eagles - Farewell 1 Tour Live From Melbourne on DVD in 2005 , and on HD DVD in 2006 .

The Eagles - Hotel California DVD-A , released by Warner , features an excellent 5.1 mix by Elliot Scheiner .

It would be great , if the new Eagles album is released on 5.1 DVD-A .
