Since I had just received a tax refund check from the government, I bit the bullet and bought the six-release combo of both LP and HDAD. It's a staggering $300 plus shipping, but I live near San Diego, so the shipping is not so bad. The combo will make a very interesting comparison. I love the 24 bit/192Hz releases from Classic Records. This is the best digital sound I have heard when the original recording is tops. I can't listen to the 24 bit/96Hz side after hearing the the truly hi-rez side. And I want to support Michael Hobson in his endeavor. After reading the information about these releases on his website, I think that we may hear these recording like we have never heard them before, beating even the 2-track tape releases. I have several of the tapes, and they beat any other format up to now. Shipping from L.A. is scheduled for June 6. I don't have long to wait. Jerry S.
