A new way to save time

Since you insist on continuing to miss the points I've made in previous posts, I will just cut and paste from them to save time.

Christine wrote, "the HDCD decoded output [from Mike Oldfield's Amarok] (without Peak Extend) is different from the bits on the disc."

From my post of two days ago:

http://www.audioasylum.com/forums/dvda/messages/24790.html

"Assuming that WMP behaves like the stand-alone HDCD decoders, dither will be added to at least the LSB."

From my post of December 24:

http://www.audioasylum.com/forums/dvda/messages/24706.html

"Unless an HDCD disc was recorded with 'peak extend' and/or 'low level extension', there is nothing for an HDCD playback machine to decode."

Unless you can show that WMP doesn't add dither (unlike all stand-alone implementations of HDCD) and also prove that the Mike Oldfield disk was mastered without the use of "low level extension", then your file comparison shows nothing.
