While browsing the magazine rack at Borders, I spotted and skimmed the most recent issue of The Perfect Vision.I know there is a lot of interest on this board (& hi-rez as well) on universal players, though mostly for their audio performance.
I'd be interested in others comments who 1) own one of these machines (I don't, I have a Marantz DV-8400) and 2) have read the review.
Though mainly a music listener, I have longed for a universal player that is decent with music and video. (I'm not into modification, though respecting those who do.)I was anticipating the new Denon DVD-3910, but the review is harsh on the DVD-5900 video performance at 720p and 1080i, which doesn't (?)bode well for 3910, I suppose.
Also, I would hope for a full functioning iLink, passing hi-rez without qualification . . . not yet, as I understand it . . .
