New DVD-Audio music releases and talk about the latest players.

Re: Christine, some questions . . .

the sony burner comes with a copy of nero that supports dual layer, so i suspect all the major programs would have updates by now.

the support is only partial though. nero burning rom understands dual layer, but nero vision express doesn't.

yes you should be able to burn VHS tapes onto DVD provided you have an appropriate analog capture card and software.

i haven't found any software yet that allows me to control where the layer change is, but one at least one disc (which i burnt using DVD decryptter) the layer change was "seamless" on my sony dvd player. the only way i can tell where the layer change was was by turning on the sony layer indicator. i was pretty impressed by this - i always knew it was possible to create seamless layer changes, but i thought it required a bit of effort. maybe i was just really really lucky.
