It's cool to be a music lover but square to be an audiophile. But if you're going to be labeled an audiophile, at least you're not one of those audiophiles who cares about soundstaging...
Besides that, to enjoy really good soundstaging requires sacrifice. You need to put your speakers out in the room, control reflections, often need a dedicated room, accurate equipment, etc. It's much easier to convince yourself that it's not important and you're not missing anything.
