RE: Good Form?

Regarding form, I don't care, and I suspect Glenn Frey doesn't either.

Regarding "given the Eagles run of smash hits from 1974 ... through the end of that decade, ..., can anybody still listen to Eagles records these days? and ... is that audiophile fave, Hotel California really the band's creative peak?"

Having grown up listening to rock in the 70's, and recently re-exploring some of the rock music canon, my answer is an emphatic yes. If he had said that about the Beatles, I might agree ("she loves me yeah yeah yeah..." who cares?, "I give her all my love..." spare me, and so with most of it.) But the Hotel California lyrics are evocative, intelligent, and creatively expressed. I think it's a great song.
