RE: Good Form?

Hello David:

JA is correct. It's merely an opinion piece. I wouldn't get my knickers in a twist. Disclosure: I never was (Gasp!) a Rolling Stones fan.

Baird: "it's also the answer to the question about how anyone who was alive during their heyday can still listen. The Steve Miller Band, which had a similar run of radio hits in the 1970s, suffers from the same problem."

The same can be said for Fleetwood Mac, Dylan, the Stones, Led Zep, The Who, etc. The Eagles are hardly unique in that regard. Familiarity breeds contempt. Rock is a shallow medium that does not hold up well over time (unlike classical or baroque). I've listened to Beethoven's 9th many more times than "Abbey Road." The former still provides goosebumps whereas the latter has become a yawner.

If one still feels the need to immerse oneself in "Rumours" each week/month then one is probably suffering from some form of arrested development.
