It's been 20 years since I last listened to Celestion SL700s and 25 since
I heard SL600s. I hesitate to offer an opinion, therefore. But from
memory, the KEF's balance is closer to that of the SL600 with the
advantage that it doesn't have to be driven as hard to reach that sweet
spot in its performance.
