Any audio reviewer who writes such meaningless drivel quickly loses my interest. What on earth does that verbiage mean? It's just flowery lanuage (which we might call a purple patch) indicating he doesn't particularly like the speaker. Otherwise informative? No.
So, if you think HR's tastes match your own, you might not bother to listen to the speaker. If you think 70 miles is too far to drive, don't. If you are looking for a good small speaker, you might want to audition it based on several other reviewers' opinions.
Or, you might look at the superb measurements published in Stereophile (the horizontal and dispersion are stunningly good) or on Soundstage. For me I find measurements are more reliable than any subjective reviewer.
