Pioneer 1000 class (C) rating

After reading all the glowing reports on this table in Stereophile I would have assumed that its rating would have been a class B. But low and behold it is a class C. This actually places it more in perspective than the hype the written print afforded it.

It might be helpful to tone down the praise, or put it more into perspective by indicating what it is comparable to in the actual article, as the class ratings do. I bet I'm not the only one who thought this was actually a giant killer. I don't see too many giants in class C.

That being said, as always, I really enjoy Stereophile and it has served as great late night company and fuel for my audio fire. No, it is not the last word, and isn't suppose to be, but rather great inspiration!
