Disclaimer: I have no experience with the speakers in question.
However, IME, this is the price range where, the more you spend (being smart about it, of course), the better speaker you get - significantly so.
With luck and patience, you could own a $5K pair of gently used speakers for your $2K - and the difference in performance will be nothing to sneeze at.
