I think that that integrated with onboard DAC was, sad to conclude, at least five years early.
I do try to stay active as a classical recordings producer and engineer, so I do attend pro audio shows and chat with engineers who are closer to the center of things, in an effort to discover great gear at fair prices.
Among others, that has led me to Benchmark, Grace Design, and Bricasti. Benchmark is an occasional advertiser. The others, as far as I know, not.
And here's the thing. Ads are not just "tribute" or blackmail. A good ad written by someone who knows how to write an ad can deliver real results.
