RE: I agree that with today's best DACs, the sound quality of many Red Book CDs is scary-good

As for component isolation? Wash your mouth out with soap. :)

I never use the term isolation in a positive sense. In fact, to the best of my knowledge, it's not even a valid methodology. Except for perhaps those that die trying to defy laws of physics.
