RE: "After all the fiddling and setup, my maid comes..."

The bookshelves are 5 feet tall. The maid has to use the stepladder to move the speakers around and clean which takes some time. This location on top of the shelf with the speaker in horizontal position with slight tilt to focus the woofers towards me is so far the most satisfying. The floor and the stands were not as satisfying.
