In the late 1970s, there was an audio showroom on Madison Ave in mid Manhattan with several brands of speakers and one man playing them for us to compare them. It was a favorite pastime of some of us to spend our lunch hour there. There was no entrance fee and I wondered who paid for the steep rent and the maintenance. Sure enough it did not last too long. But it was a good idea and we had a great time. I still has the nice sound of the Rectilinear 5 in memory.
