I bought the latest issue of HiFiNews and read it on the plane. It was so much better than the digital issue that I have cancelled it and subscribed to the print issue for £62 for 13 issues. The digital issue of HiFiNews is much better than Stereophile's but having to skip ads and scroll on my 1920x1200 28in screen has been a disincentive to read with any degree of enjoyment. Couple this with the the pain to print stuff to pdf to keep and read properly whilst avoiding the ad pages, and then having to reassemble to one document, means that the print version will be well worth it. I can now ignore all the ads I don't want to read much more quickly.
I may try another time to subscribe to Stereophile on the web. If it still won't recognise my address, I shall be finished with it. The digital version is plain ridiculously difficult to read and enjoy.
