Truth can hurt and many audiophiles have a very low tolerance for pain. Music in the Round is a very useful column that provides a glimpse of the future. Multichannel sound and electronic room correction are wonderful technologies capable of greatly enhancing the listening experience. Try Dolby ProLogic II Music processing and well-implemented room correction with good stereo recordings before promalgating the notion that traditional stereo components are the be-all and end-all of music reproduction.
