That makes you a part of the problem. A big part. You only contribute your opinion to audio now. You don't buy anything, and therefore any magazine targeted to you is targeting an ex-consumer. Too many people like you and not enough people who still buy stuff and the magazines and manufacturers alike die back fast.

Audio's unique in this. Shutterbugs never stop buying camera equipment, no self-respecting petrol head would keep the same car for more than a decade (even classic car collectors churn their stock periodically)... and yet it's an audio medal of honour to not buy new stuff.

Is it any wonder audio has moved onwards and upwards?
