i am not sure i ever heard the cantate disc but the pawnshop isnt bad at all. like many another demo disc, people have heard pawnshop WAY too many times.
for that reason, i do not play discs repeatedly. that and the lesson i learned when 'walk don't run' but the ventures came out. i played it so many times i really did get sick of it and it took decades of W,DR abstinence to enjoy it again.
carly simon's 'no secrets' and grusin's 'discovered again' were among those overplayed discs and i loved both of those. i still shy away from the faves and only play them infrequently.
all that said and then we must consider taste (and whether or not i have any).
