What are they trying to avoid? Reports on new and exciting products/companies? No wonder this industry is dying. If you are new, you are DOA here. How many times can we read about Musical Fidelity or Vandersteen. We all know, that having a wide distribution, does not, necessarily mean the products are worthy. Can’t the reviewer/editor decide if the news is worthy or not? Would that be too much to ask of them to do some due diligence on their own in regards to products viabilities? Also, why not apply the same rules to advertiser? I see plenty ads form companies with no representation in the US market. Some products that do not even exist (Mark Levinson...). Any responsibilities there? How about this, you have to spend tremendous amounts on advertising first so dealers may notice you and you can get some traction, regardless if your products is worthy or not, so you may have 5 dealers so you can get a review. Food for thought...
