The rather constant changing ( upgrading ? ) of a component or line of components ( ala MF) is enough to make me not purchase one of their products.

It would seem to me that if adequate R&D is done in the first place, it would be unnecessary to produce changes significant enough to warrant a Mark 11, or worse, a new version for a respectable amount of time. When hasty changes are made it temps me to to think the company does not have a good enough handle on what a mature product should actually be.

Very good products in all price ranges stand the test of time.Those companies producing such products are the ones that impress me.
