I'll second that "BRAVO!" Having read multiple threads here and at AVG, it's getting really tiresome hearing, over and over (and over) again, the Chris and Elliot chorale:

So much defensive posturing, parsing all the flying turds. Talk about tempests and teapots...the asinine braying about how this single Golden Ear award is "damaging" to the industry, coupled with the ludicrous notion that the mags' true role is to be handmaidens to established manufacturers and dealers...well, the cake is well and truly taken. TAS serves its readers when it steps outside the marketing chain and recognizes products seen to be outstanding, whether the product is merely a designer's one-off dream, or long out of production, viz. the Quad 57s. Still waiting for the end of the world, but enjoying that wait ever so much more watching certain over-bearing derrieres getting foot implantation surgery.
