I raised the issue of the Caliburn initially because it was dragged into the discussion about SP's policies by jdza. He characterized the Caliburn incorrectly, and I corrected him. The discussion evolved between us until you chimed in and wanted to talk about Stereophile's policies ... I articulated more than once that I'm not privy to their internal workings.
As I stated and will state again - the discussion at hand was not about Stereophile's policies, it was about TAS' policies. I'm not choosing sides, there is no war or contest about which magazine is better than the other. SP may have inconsistencies, as well, and you've pointed out issues that should probably be addressed by SP.
But the discussion revolved around TAS, JV, and a non-product being exalted among (and above) proven commercial products. So this whole SP issue seems a distraction, because SP has nothing to do with what transpired at TAS.
Get it?
