I don't know the policy and to be honest I don't really care however, a product either exists or it doesn't. Anyone who has been around this business for a while knows that a protoype is NOT a product. There are things that are done in one that may not be able to be produced or produced in a realistic fashion and time frame or at a price that anyone would consider purchasing at. The speaker in question has a long way to go to be produced and from reading other things posted by Mr. JV it isn't even a finalized prototype. In my humble opinion this is one blowing ones own horn. It serves no purpose to the industry, the dealers, consumers or anyone else that I can see other than to Mr. JV to have a toy that no one else can have.
