Dear Mr. Passive Aggressive:
Your original post posited that reviewers praised beyond their true merits "updated" products that in some respects significantly measured not as well; you also mentioned the issue of advertising swaying editorial content, and alluded to manufacturers' "BS." All that is undeniable. But rather than step up and apologize, you continue to obfuscate.
Later on, you tried covering your tracks.
But, why should you praise John Atkinson's measurements, when you had immediately before slandered his editorial integrity? "Advertisers"; "BS";--your words, not mine.
Stripping away the veneer of passive aggression, what your original troll really meant to say was:
"I am bored and want to stir up some trouble by raising an old issue. Remember Stereophile's review of the Watt Puppy 8? I don't think it measured as well as the 7, and I think that when MF raved about it, he was in the tank for an advertiser. I also think that Dave Wilson just pumps out new models to hose those who have drunk his Flavor-Ade, and whatever justifications he and Stereophile disseminate are bullshit."
I don't give rodential derriere about your urinary little defamations, just please don't hang noodles from our ears by pretending to be a resposible member of the community--let alone a victimized one.
All you have to do is admit that you mis-spoke, and that your defaming peoples' integrity was wrong.
