Some might, but I don't think most of as are all that cynical. I suppose it could be done behind a scrim or something to allay the concern.

I also appreciate it when a reviewer speaks to the synergy issue, but I realize that it's a slippery one. However I think it's still as important as ever, which is to say crucial to good sound. Thus just combining $$$ units may not be as good an answer as finding various synergistic combinations of $$$ units would be.
