Perhaps you didn't read the article I linked to? (I have done so again, below.)

And now I am sure you didn't read the article. At the time this review was
published, the product was being sold direct, as we clearly stated in the
review. Did you not read it? The information is available at
http://www.stereophile.com/turntables/106con/index4.html . And in the
article I link to below, I clearly state that we do make exceptions for
products that are sold direct, proved they meet stated criteria.

Time to reach for my can of Troll-B-Gone. :-)
