Kidding aside, I am a bit surprised that someone who claims 35 years in the industry has not heard of Stereophile's much-lambasted "5 Dealer Rule," but what can ya do.

I could tell ya stories about Golden Ear Awards of yore that would curl your hair, but then that would bring out all the amateur psychologists who do everything but counter the facts of the cases, so I won't. But a GAA for a prototype, hey, why not? I can't wait for them to give one to a bar napkin!!!

My favorite parts of Stereophile's RCL are the three dollar signs-$$$-for high value, and the star for withstanding the test of time. And when the two appear together, that's really nice.
