The fees for reviews are something in the order of 1800-3000 for the links to the manufacturers websites and there are fees for th eprinted reprints as well but I don't know how much that is. I am not a naysayer and I am not looking for crash and burn reviews. I think there is an amazing amount of really great products today , much more than ever before. I would go as far as to say this is a golden era for audio gear. Some of the most affordable products are extremely good. If a reviewer can't tell the differences bewteen products then please tell me what his career path is? Every big speaker is not the same! There are differences we all hear them , his or her job is to write about them. That is not negative however by not pointing out the differences I believe some of this is to not offend other manufacturers. IF they bought the stuff this would not be the case sir. My point is not to attack but to point out some bizarre practices. I think that there is a good review for almost everything when in fact all the products are NOT the same and there are winners and loosers. Please don't catagorize me as a naysayer I have been in this business for over 35 years and I love it and the music that it allows me to hear.
