How the magazine turns is dependent upon a number of factors. For instance, audio magazines have a lot of dark/high coverage ads eg a lot of black. How the printer balances these ads during the run (printers run off copies before they get it right) affects the rest of the magazine including the 4/C sigs and darkness of the rest of the magazine. In some cases, printers write up a different set of specs for a magazine just to handle such as situation.
