It can happen, but not throughout the magazine. Magazines are printed in
forms or signatures of 16 or 32 pages, ie, a sheet of paper with 8/16 pages
on each side. Color balance at the printer tends to be optimized for a side
of a signature at a time, so it can happen that one or two pages may come
out too dark or too light.
