Of course that depends in good part on the user. Personally I don't find the interface to be particularly UNfriendly. But that's just me.

With TONE, I just grab the latest issue, hit Ctl-L to bring it up full-screen, and read through it using the mouse buttons. Left button takes you to the next page, right button to the previous page.

Pretty simple.

Combine this with a laptop and a nice comfy chair or sofa, and I find it quite a pleasant experience.
