Turntables and headphones at Bottlehead - who's coming?

Got back last night from an all too brief break at the beach. Had lots of nice walks on the beach with Fritz the big dog; Colin and Queen Eileen did their first serious kite flying with a nice delta kite we got on sale at Ocean Kites; and I even turned up a neat camera in a local pawn shop - a Canonet QL17 G-III "poor man's Leica" - for a song.

Also came back with an off the wall travel tip for you locals. If you happen to be headed out to the Long Beach penninsula via Raymond, stop at the Northwest Carriage Museum. A local businessman donated a large collection of beautifullly restored 19th century horsedrawn carriages to the city, and the city built a nice museum a couple of years ago just to house the collection. Even if horsedrawn carriages aren't your thing the collection is well worth seeing as a great example of industrial art.

For those who keep track of such things we're diving back into work today by concentrating on the big increase in Straight 8 orders of late.

Lastly, a question begs as I plan the next few days - How many folks plan to come over tomorrow afternoon for our turntable and headphone amp demo? The Progressive Engineering Turntable and the BIX will both be here along with both stock and modified Seductions to play through. This will also be the one opportunity to hear the headphone amp and monitor controller we have built for Paul Stubblebine Mastering before it heads down to the studio for a trial. Time is noon to 3. Give us a ring to let us know you are coming, 360-697-1936.
