What's the correct way to mount a PC-mount tube socket onto a PC board? I'm trying to prototype a circuit (my first DIY effort!) and figured Vectorboard with PC mount tube sockets would be a quick and dirty way to get the job done. It's not obvious to me how these sockets should be mounted on the perfboard. If I drill a 7/8" whole in the board I can insert the socket and the flange will rest on top of the board but there's nothing to retain it. Are there special brackets for this? Or should the pins mount through board? Or should I use chassis-mount sockets and mount them on the board as if it were the chassis? Thanks,
Phil
