I was offered the oppurtunity to experiment with the Dual parafeed tranformer configuration with the Paramours. Here is the order of the Modification.
1. You will need the smallest Radio Shack Grommitts to mount the pair of transformers so that the wire can route into the Grommitt of transformer 2.
2. The wiring is as follows. It is the Blue Wire on the input for the 0.625 taps. Parallel them. All other input wires connect to the other input wires to unify the input windings of the transformer. Some experimentation on resistive loads between these windings can be of order and I am trying it for experimentation purposes.
3 Output wires are series wiring for the 8 ohm load. (Dual 4 series) Their actually is an open terminal for that...(for the + and - to be connected leaving the +/- for the speaker connection.
This is a really nice mod and I recommend it very highly. Now Kurt...why don't you double up those cobalts!!!!
I would like to try the larger plate chokes to see if I can get even more headroom. They are $90 Right?
Doc, this is a Mod to market. Double Date!
Super nice Man...we are talking the lens is now in focus. Dynamics, Power, solidity. All you could ask for.
Betcha you will freak out!
