I recently bought a pair of Sovtek's 2A3s ($39.95 each), which received an absolutely rave review from Art Dudley in the latest Listener. I burned them for 48 hours or so and have been listening to them for the last two weeks.I have to report no improvement from the Sovteks. If anything, they were slightly harder-edged and leaner than the stock Valve Art 2A3 tubes. But to be honest, I really could not hear much difference at all.
I'm now back to the Valve Arts. I don't recommend the purchase of the Sovteks, but who knows. YMMV.
