Cardas binding posts fit Paramour chassis perfectly

151.202.195.182

I just finished installing Cardas short copper CCBP binding posts on to my Paramours. They fit the chassis perfectly! No step drill required.

They are obviously much sturdier than the stock posts, and I was able to get a really firm grip on the chassis. I had never able to get a decent connection on the stock posts with the big spades on either my MIT or Alpha-Core speaker cables, especially when combined with those pesky little wires from my Rel sub.

So I torqued these babies home with the wrench, fired 'em up and put on Duncan Browne's "Give Me Take You" LP on the turntable. Wow! What an improvement. I'd never thought I was getting a really firm connection before. The sound is so much more "immediate" (no pun intended, for you record collectors out there). I'm getting soundstage for the first time, at least in the sense that it's three-dimensionally out in front of the speakers. Wow.

Of course, I'm now hearing all the clicks and pops on my not-really-VG++ Duncan Browne album :-( that's the cloud inside the silver lining! But really, I'm very happy :-))

I'd recommend this upgrade to all Paramour owners out there. Really simple, really easy, and instantly noticeable, especially if your speaker cables have unwieldy terminators on 'em.
