For me, more info equals more confusion, with a glimmer of understanding.
From the following post, I figured PJ was saying that I could use my original Paramour OT's:

Then, when discussing using my Paramour upgrade transformers, CB indicated that the stepdown to 8 ohms looked to be too much:

I figured that if I couldn't use the upgrade trannies, then I couldn't use the original trannies. Now I discover that the newest trannies are actually my original Paramour trannies, which I thought were 8 ohm!
Looking at the wiring diagram, I see we have inputs of 8K, 4K, 2K, 1K,and 500 ohms, with outputs or 8 ohm and 4 ohm. So I guess we're using it in autoformer mode (in at 8K and out at 500 ohm), ignoring the secondary outputs (except for ground).
I don't really get what's happening, and I'm glad to have the benefit of relying on a bunch of smarter people.
PS: My radios glow in the dark, too.
