Think I have all the parts necessary to build my 1st SUT to go with the Seduction. If I have some vintage 1:10 mic transformers that have a center tap on the primary side and if I use the c.t does that in effect give me a 1:20 step up?
If that's the case is there any sonic detriments to using the center tap vs. the full winding?
And if 1:10 gives me an effective load of 470ohms and 1:20 yields 117.5ohms with the Seduction. Then the output voltage of a .3mv cart @ 1:20 would present a voltage of 6.24mv for a cart that wants >100ohm load.
Mic. transformers are HK XT-3's from Mike over at Magnequest, hope he doesn't mind me lifting his pic from his posting.
I'm asking here because I'm a Bottlehead at heart.
