paint the whole chassis? sex amp

following the posts on chassis prep and paint, I am still not sure how best to tape/prepare my SEX amp chassis plate before painting. The chemical/surface prep is clear but how much of the plate should be painted?

is it important to only paint the top of the plate? or can I paint both sides which I suspect gives you a more durable finish?

does some part of the plate need to be exposed for grounding/soldering? should I tape the mounting holes too?
