I have decided to go with an additional transformer and DC heater supply.

PJ developed the circuit with the 6N1P in mind because it is quiet but decided against it because they are not reliable compared to the 6DJ8 variants. But then again, the 6N1P can be had at $25/dozen.

I decided I liked the other 6DJ8 Russian variant enough to try the 6N1Ps and will after my 6 week contract job (now at 6 months) ends.

Remember, YOU are the only one who needs to be happy with the sound of your system
