Hi,
Powered up one channel. Checked all voltages with tube on. All were O.K. Connect it to speaker and it is sounding!
Powered up the other channel. Not working. No HT voltage?? The Rfilter was burnt! Replace it, burnt again!!
Remove tubes and check, check, check.....Oh my god! I reversed the polarity of the HT supply cable from the Power PCB to the Driver stage meaning that I reversed the HT power supply to the remaining of the circuit.
May need help in assessing the extent of damages for prompt ordering of replacement parts!
I corrected all connections and replaced the 270 ohm Rfilter. Power it up. Only one LED (D2) of the driver PCB was lit. Revisit the schematic trying to assess the extent of damages!
My preliminary interpretation are as follows:
1. Tubes - Should not be damaged. Reversing the voltage render them as tube diode in reverse mode. Unlikely incur damage.
2. Power supply PCB. - Should not have incurred damage but cannot understand why the 270 Ohm Rfilter was damaged/burnt twice
3. Filament supplies measured O.K.
4. Driver stage PCB. - Measured the resisters. Resisters seems to be O.K. I guess the transistors, voltage regulators and diodes were damaged.
5. Zener diode. Have no idea.
Kindly please advise any comment on my interpretation. I need to order replacement parts!
Thanks
