Same here Doc. That's why I asked. The last pair of Peerless xformers I had I did a trade with you toward my Seduction and I might have gotten 'em back in my Repo Amp,.. who knows, but those things went up faster than pinch waist Amperex 6922's!!!! At one point I had 3 pairs of 4722's (I even ripped the can open to examine one). Who would've known!
Oops, forgot to respond to your question. Make sure the cable is properly shielded. I always unwound some of the shielding and attached and 'gator clip with some wire so I could reach the grounding lug of the preamp. Also, try moving the SUT around (turning it just a little can sometimes do the trick).
