Enquiry on Paramount 2A3 Construction - Rg resistor

Hi all,

Just complete assembling one channel of the Paramount kit in 2A3 direct coupled configuration. Before powering up, I just checked all soldering joints and configuration against the schematic. I note that the assemble maual do not inline with the Schematic. I note that the is one 245K resisitor left as surplus. I am curious why there is one 245K resistor left and just re-check against the schematic carefully.

According to the assembling manual for 2A3 configuration, the 245K Rg resistor is not required to be installed. But this do not inline with the schematic. Is it a mistake in the assembling manual or there is a mistake in the schematic?
