I Can remember, a few decades ago, that there was a chain out west called "Filthy McNasty's" and they advertised as serving lousy food and warm beer. Actually they were fairly decent, but then I was a mid-20s to early 30s type who was about as omnivorous and "unfinicky" as a rwavenous great white shark in those days ;-)
Rule Number One in Lost Wages: NEVER go to an all you can eat buffet "more than two or three days in a row.
Old trick, I dunno if still it works in the 21st century:
show up just before "Breakeaft" is finished, get in at the lower breakfast" prices, then graze slowly, until "Lunch" is served, then go into maximal pig-out mode.
Saved a buck or two in those days, back when a buck or two actually meant something more than today's mini-dollarettes...
Also back when my matabolism allowed for such extravagences ;-)
