OK, I have to admit that I did NOT expect something ABOVE line voltage!
First of all, does the ST35 have a grounded, 3-prong AC Mains cable? I expect your FP does, but It doesn't pay to assume anything, so does it?
Do you, by any chance, have an Outlet Checker? The kind that looks like a 3-prong plug with three lites on it?
To answer you, I think that we probably should make sure that you are using an outlet with no problems, hence the outlet checker. There is a way to use your meter, but it is less safe than the checker and a little harder to explain verbally.
If the outlet checks out, we can move on to the FP and other things that might be connected to it besides the ST35.
If the outlet doesn't check out, you will want to address that first. In the meantime, perhaps a similar check out of the outlet at your workbench will determine if that is the better place to proceed.
This may take some doing, but I will be able to check in the next few days fairly frequently, and I'm sure some of the other guys will chip in, too. But, if we all go about this systematically, we should be able to give you some clues.
Troubleshooting can be a little frustrating, but it can also be a great way to learn!
Here, and I thought I was being overly-cautious! 345VAC HURTS, whether there is enough current there to damage you or not! If you still have the blown fuses, you might want to save them as trophies, 'cause they may just have alerted you to a problem that had some nasty potential consequences.
