before you hook the interconnects from the FP to the 35Clone, turn both units on, and carefully measure the AC Voltage between the audio grounds of the two units; that is, between the outer shell of an output connector on the FP to the outer shell of an input connector on the 35Clone.

Then, measure chassis ground to chassis ground between the two units.

DON'T TOUCH THE TWO MEASUREMENT POINTS WITH YOUR SKIN!

Does the 35Clone use a grounded power cord?
