I'm using one of my SeX amps as a preamp (switched the binding posts to rca jacks) and substituted one of the Paramount's PCBs with a new one. So far no pops!

The casualties' count so far: one Foreplay PCB and two Paramounts' PCBs.

While I can say that the SeX as a preamp sounds very nice it definitely is not is the same league as my Foreplay: horses for courses is what english speaking chaps would say! I'd say that the Foreplay is more "tridimensional" and sounds "sweeter". I'm comparing here a MQ ironed SeX vs an enhanced FP3. Both with Auricaps. Only difference is goldpoints in the FP3 vs stock pot on SeX amp.

Time to put together a list of parts for Eileen.
